E-Liquids VS Cartridges- Which is better?
When a user decides to join the electronic cigarette lifestyle, they have to be prepared to make choices in various areas. One of the first choices is choosing a starter kit that utilizes a cartridge which may be refilled or a system with a tank that allows the use of e-liquid. There is no particular ‘best’ choice as each need to be investigated before making a decision on which one is preferable to the user and their vaping lifestyle.
For those that are new to e-cigarettes, it is advised that they start with the disposable cartridges until they are seasoned in the trade. If customization is what is preferred, then e-liquid is the way to go. This option also saves money in the long run. It always comes down to the preference of the individual user however. Some experimenting may have to be done before knowing which option is best.
The most basic of electronic cigarette will more often than not rely on the use of cartridges in order for the e-liquid to be delivered for vaporization. These cartridges may be refilled with the e-liquid or can be disposed of after being used. The cartridges are available in varying pack amounts which range from 5-15 perhaps even more and are not often very expensive. Once one cartridge is used up, it can be removed and replaced with a new one from the pack. These cartridges can be purchased in a variety of flavours as well as nicotine strengths based on the brand. A cartridge will generally last the same amount of time as the average pack of traditional cigarettes.
These are much easier to use and there is no worry of refills to cause drippings. The atomizers will not need replacing either as most e-cigs have the atomizer inside the disposable cartridge. This makes the cartridge a better option for first timers as it is much easier and simpler in terms of navigation. The disadvantage is however that the there is no mixing of brands for the cartridges. The same brand of cartridges has to be used based on the starter kit and battery purchased. It is unlikely that another brand will fit the e-cig.
With the e-liquids however there are more options to choose from. There is no brand specification to refill the tank system or the cartomizers. This means that there are a host of flavors and nicotine strengths available to be chosen from, despite the battery which is being used. There is also the financial factor to be included in the e-liquid choice. It is more cost effective to go with this option as one bottle of e-liquid can last as long as two weeks. This is in comparison to 15 cartridges in the same time period. This equates to a substantial savings. The pile up of e-cig related garbage is also less as there is no cartridge in need of disposal. The plastic tips that come with the cartridges are easily misplaced and can turn up just about anywhere. The disadvantage is that it takes a lot of time and practice to refill the e-liquid.
